Russian scrap exports decline in January-April

In April of the current year, Russia exported 440,800 mt of scrap, down 7.8 percent compared to April 2011 but increasing by 37.3 percent compared to March this year, according to the country's customs statistics.

In the January-April period of the current year, Russian exports of scrap decreased by 5.1 percent year on year to 1.38 million mt, including 552,000 mt to Turkey, 305,000 mt to Belarus and 150,000 mt to South Korea.
