According to the preliminary data, in January-May 2007 Russia decreased scrap export deliveries by eight percent year on year to about 3.4 million metric tons.
The share of exports in overall Russian scrap deliveries during the given period decreased from 37 percent to 31 percent. Meanwhile, the scrap processed in Russia in the January-May period increased by 10 percent to 10.8 million metric tons.
