According to the information issued by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, up to July 1 this year Ukraine utilized 9.12 percent of its annual quota for rebar exports to Russia and 97.49 percent of its annual quota for cold rolled steel exports to the same destination, supplying a total of 33,115 metric tons and 199,853 metric tons respectively.
According to the agreement signed between Russia and Ukraine, the yearly quota for Ukraine regarding rebar exports to Russia is 363,000 metric tons for 2009.
Meanwhile, also according to the agreement between the countries, Ukraine's yearly quota for cold rolled exports to Russia stands at 205,000 metric tons for the 12 months from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009.
In June this year, as also in May, Ukrainian steel producers did not supply any cold rolled steel to Russia.
