Russian mills demand protective duties on Ukrainian pipes
Russian pipe manufacturers demanded that the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MERT) impose antidumping duties on small diameter pipes imported from Ukraine in an effort to protect the Russian market from possible material injury. Statistics indicate that Ukrainian pipe exports to Russia have significantly increased in the first eight months of the year compared to the same period in 2004. Sources report that the increase in the pipe imports has aroused concerns of Russian pipe manufacturers, who reduced pipe production by 10-25 percent.Russian mills demand protective duties on Ukrainian pipes
