Russia issues January-November output results

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal State Statistics Service, in the first 11 months of this year Russia produced 52.9 million metric tons of finished steel products - up 11 percent, 8.2 million metric tons of steel pipes - up 37.6 percent, and 44.1 million metric tons of pig iron - up 10.7 percent, all compared to January-November 2009.
 
In addition, in January-November this year, the country registered a 6.3 percent increase in its coal mining output and an 11.6 percent rise inits iron ore concentrate output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 287 million and 87.3 million. In addition, Russia produced 4.2 million metric tons of metalized iron ore pellets and briquettes in the period in question - up 1.1 percent, and 24.7 million metric tons of metallurgical coke - up 11.1 percent, both compared to the same period last year. 
 
Meanwhile, in November this year, Russia's finished steel production went up by 5.2 percent, its pig iron output increased by two percent, while its pipe production decreased by 1.7 percent, all compared to October.
 
In November, Russia's coal output went up by 4.3 percent month on month, its metallurgical coke production increased by 0.1 percent, its metalized iron ore pellets and briquettes output went up by 14.8 percent, while its iron ore concentrate production went down by two percent, all compared to October this year.
