According to the data issued by the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (Spetsstal), in September this year Russia's imports of the main stainless steel products increased by 0.8 percent compared to August, amounting to 20,068 mt.
Meanwhile, in the first nine months of the current year, Russia increased its stainless steel product imports by about 99.5 percent compared to the same period of 2009 and by 4.5 percent compared to the same period of 2008, to 141,507 mt.
