Rudnitsky appointed as Metinvest’s strategy director

On May 20, Ukrainian-based international vertically-integrated group of mining and steel companies Metinvest announced that it has appointed Ruslan Rudnitsky as its strategy director. In this position, he will be responsible for implementation of the strategic initiatives of the updated strategy of Metinvest Group. Rudnitsky had been working in the strategy and investments department of Metinvest’s iron ore division since 2006.

Igor Syry, CEO of Metinvest Holding, commented, “Since April 2010 Ruslan has been successfully managing the strategy development project, as well as the following process of the approved strategic initiatives implementation, being in the position of the interim strategy and investments director of Metinvest Group. I am convinced that his appointment to the chief strategist position will strengthen our competitive edge and will help us in achieving the goals set on the way to building the leading integrated steelmaker in Europe.”
