According to data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the first four months of the current year deliveries of rolled steel products to the Ukrainian domestic market increased by 29.9 percent year on year to 2.224 million mt.
In April alone, rolled steel product deliveries in Ukraine rose by 14.2 percent compared to April 2010, but declined by 14.4 percent compared to March this year.
In January-April 2011, the share of imports in Ukraine's domestic rolled steel product market was 20.7 percent against 23.8 percent in the same period of 2010.
