Record iron ore futures trading volume in May at DCE

The trading volume of iron ore futures at Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) reached an all-time historical high in May of the current year.

According to the data issued by DCE, in May this year the iron ore futures transaction volume at the exchange amounted to 2.486 billion mt, almost double compared to the same month last year.

Chen Wei, director of the Industrial Products Department at DCE, said that the primary task of DCE this year is to expand the influence of DCE's iron ore futures in the global iron ore market.
