Poland’s JSW and ArcelorMittal to extend raw material supply cooperation

Poland-based coking coal producer Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa SA (JSW) has announced that it signed a letter of intent with ArcelorMittal Poland on Monday, July 2 to prolong the cooperation between the companies in the scope of coking coal, coke gas and coke supplies for the next few years, as well as to extend their cooperation to supplies of blast furnace gas and exchange of technical expertise.

JSW stated that the cooperation with ArcelorMittal will allow the company to develop its activity and ensure more stable operations of its plants, while ArcelorMittal Poland said this letter of intent aims at creating strategic projects which will benefit both parties, adding that JSW is a reliable long-term partner in the scope of raw material supplies.
