Poland’s Huta Częstochowa to resume full production early in 2025

Poland-based steelmaker Huta Częstochowa, a subsidiary of Poland-based coking coal exporter Węglokoks, has a few days ago begun its cold ramp-up, the stage before the full resumption of production, following a break of almost one year, according to local media reports. Full operations are expected to resume at the beginning of next year.

The full resumption of operations will strengthen the Polish steel market and reduce the country’s import dependency.

Huta Częstochowa, which has an annual production capacity of 700,000 mt of crude steel and one million mt of plate, will produce feedstock for Węglokoks’ other rolling mills, resulting in lower costs.
