In July this year, iron ore production in Peru amounted to 616,939 long tons (626,389 mt), increasing 11.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and down 20.2 percent month on month, according to Peru's Energy and Mining Ministry.
In the first seven months of the current year the country's total iron ore production was 3.9 million long tons (4 million mt), marking a fall of 10.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
