Peru’s iron ore output up 17 percent in January-September

Iron ore production in Peru was up by 172.6 percent year on year in September this year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.

Peru produced 717,837 mt of the commodity in September, up from 263,289 mt in the same month of 2016.

In the first nine months of this year, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 6.77 million mt, increasing by 17 percent year on year.
