Sichuan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Pangang Group Steel Vanadium & Titanium Co. has announced that on March 17 it completed hot testing of its 950 mm hot rolling production line, after carrying out a series of upgrades at the production line.

The steelmaker began the upgrading work on its 950 mm hot rolling line on January 10 this year. It eliminated some equipment, while adding a BD2 rolling machine, a roughing mill, an edging mill and a universal finishing mill. The 950 mm production line, which has an annual output capacity of 700,000 mt, mainly produces square and round bars, heavy rails and section steel.
