Pakistan’s National Tariff Commission has announced its preliminary results concerning its antidumping (AD) duty investigation regarding galvanized coil and sheet imports from China.
The commission has on a preliminary basis established that there was a significant increase in the volume of dumped imports of the investigated product during the period of the investigation. As a result, the domestic industry suffered material injury on account of a decline in sales, a decline in profits and profitability, and an increase in inventories.
Accordingly, the preliminary dumping margins stand at 46.89 percent for Angang Steel Company Ltd, 10.60 percent for Bengang Steel Plates Co. Ltd, 14.22 percent for Hebei Iron & Steel Co. Ltd, 4.59 percent for Maanshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd, and 46.89 percent for all other producers/exporters from China.
The investigation launched upon the complaint filed by the domestic producer International Steels Limited covers the period between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.
The products subject to antidumping duty investigation currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7210.4110, 7210.4190, 7210.4990, 7212.3010, 7212.3090, 7225.9200 and 7226.9900.
