Finland-based mining and metallurgical technologies provider Outotec has announced that it has acquired Kiruna-based Millteam Sweden's businesses. Millteam offers maintenance services, complete installations, installation supervision, maintenance inspections and service of equipment for mining companies and has special expertise in grinding mill service.

An Outotec press release said that the annual sales volume of the Millteam business is approximately €4 million and that it employs 35 people, adding that the parties have agreed not to disclose the acquisition price.

The Millteam acquisition supports Outotec's strategy to expand its service business. The new business will serve the company's customers in Europe and the CIS area.
