Outokumpu announces April surcharges

Finland-based steelmaker Outokumpu announced alloy surcharges for its stainless steel grades effective for April 2006. In line with the statement released by the company, Outokumpu will apply an alloy surcharge of Euro 948 per ton on its 304 series for April 2006 deliveries. The surcharge on 304 series for March 2006 is Euro 900 per ton. On the other hand, alloy surcharge on 316 series will be Euro 2,135 per ton, up Euro 1 against March surcharge, while 430 ferritic grade series will be subject to an alloy surcharge of Euro 173 per ton, down Euro 6 against March surcharge.
