OneSteel shut down Whyalla steel plant

Australian steel producer OneSteel Ltd. announced that it stopped production at its Whyalla steel plant in South Australia due to gas supply problems caused by the fire at Santos Ltd plant. OneSteel officials stated that this closure does not have an impact on customers as the company has so much stock. OneSteel waits for South Australian government announcement to restart the production. The government required from the state's biggest commercial gas users to stop using gas until normal supply resumed.
