The annual inflation rate of the 34 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries increased to 2.8 percent in June this year, compared to 2.6 percent in the previous month, according to the latest figures.
Excluding food and energy, annual inflation remained stable at 2.0 percent in June, when compared to the previous month.
Compared with May, annual inflation in June decreased to 2.1 percent in Germany from 2.2 percent and fell to 2.6 percent in Lithuania from 2.9 percent. In June as compared with May, annual inflation grew to 2.5 percent in Canada from 2.2 percent, rose to 1.3 percent in Italy from 1.0 percent, increased to 2.9 percent in the US from 2.8 percent, while it remained unchanged at 2.0 percent in France, at 0.7 percent in Japan and at 2.3 percent in the UK.
