Number of motor vehicles in China increases to 340 million

12.42 million new motor vehicles were registered in China in the first half of this year, with the total number of motor vehicles in China thereby increasing to 340 million units, according to figures issued by China’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS). In particular, as of June 30 the number of small passenger cars in China reached 250 million units.
