Nucor strikes $90 million deal for Corus Tuscaloosa

Largest US steelmaker Nucor Corp. recently announced that it made an agreement for the take over of all the assets of Corus Tuscaloosa located in US, a unit of Corus Group, against almost $90 million in cash. The completion of the take over is subject to necessary approvals and fulfillment of several conditions. Corus Tuscaloosa, built in 1985, is a plate mill with an annual production capacity of around 700'000 tons since its capacity expansion eight years ago.
