Northwest Pipe Company gets API license for Houston facility

Vancouver, Canada-based welded steel pipe and tube products manufacturer Northwest Pipe Company has announced that it has obtained an American Petroleum Institute (API) 5CT license for its facility in Houston, Texas.

The Houston facility, which manufactures electric resistance welded (ERW) steel has an estimated capacity of 50,000 mt per year. With the API license, the facility can now begin production of API grade 2 3/8 and 2 7/8 inch tubing
