Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has announced its production and sales data for the third quarter of the current year. According to the company statement, NLMK's crude steel output in the third quarter increased to 4.131 million mt, up 9.5 percent compared to the previous quarter, while its production of finished steel increased by 6.7 percent quarter on quarter to 3.936 million mt.

The total sales volume of steel products of NLMK Group in the third quarter amounted to 3.741 million mt, down 2.4 percent quarter on quarter, including around 2.016 million mt of flat steel, 0.543 million mt of long steel products and metalware, and 0.965 million mt of slabs.

NLMK expects its steel and rolled product output to decrease by only a small margin in the fourth quarter due to planned maintenance works during the seasonal slowdown in demand in the domestic market, while activities will be resumed to master production of sections at NLMK Kaluga.
