NLMK registers decrease in net profit for Q2

In its financial results according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) for the second quarter of 2012, Russian steelmaker NLMK Group's net profit decreased by 62 percent year on year to RUB 10.6 billion ($0.3 billion) as a result of the distribution of dividends for 2011 from NLMK's subsidiaries.
 
In the given quarter, NLMK's sales revenues increased by 3.3 percent to RUB 62.6 billion ($1.9 billion), compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, as sales grew by 15 percent and prices dropped by six percent year on year, while the share of semi-finished products in total sales increased.
