The Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel has announced that the company has passed a recertification audit of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for its shipbuilding slab production.

The audit confirmed the NLMK products' compliance with international and national standards and, thereby, permitted the company to continue to supply its steel for ships classified by the ABS.  The new Steel Supply Renewal of Approval will be valid for five years.
