Russian company StavStal plans to build a new long steel product mini-mill in the newly created industrial park in the city of Nevinnomyssk in Russia's Stavropol region, with investments amounting to at least Ruble 3 billion (about $97 million) by the end of 2015.
The new long steel mini-mill will include an electric arc furnace shop and a rolling shop with a capacity of 130,000-150,000 mt per year, of which more than 120,000 mt will consist of rebar, while the remainder will include wire rod and nail wire. The finished products will be sold mainly in the domestic market.
