New Iranian I-beam producer to be commissioned by March 2010

A new private sector Iranian steelmaker Sistan and Balochestan Steel, which is currently under construction, is to be commissioned by the end of the current Iranian year, i.e. by March 2010.

The new plant located in the province of Sistan and Baloochestan will have an annual rolling capacity of 500,000 mt of I-beam. The plant is being built on the back of an investment of about Rials 680 billion (about $68 million) provided by Mr. Mohammad Shahbakhsh with assistance from banks.
