In the January-September period this year, China’s excavator output amounted to 177,938 units, down 23.5 percent year on year, as announced by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In September alone, China’s excavator output came to 14,886 units, down 35.5 percent year on year, while rising by 11.5 percent month on month.
The poor performance in China’s real estate sector negatively affected domestic excavator output. However, China’s rebuilding of villages in megacities is being gradually carried out in earnest, which will exert a positive impact on the demand for excavators. Currently, the excavator market is in a bottoming-out phase and will likely see a rebounding trend in 2024.
