Morocco to impose stricter control on long steel imports

Morocco’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies has announced that the import control on some products including long steel will be stricter.

As of February 1, 2020, the supplier of the imported long steel needs to be certified by the local authorities.

Morocco has already a safeguard measures in place on rebar and wire rod imports.
