MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.4 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 1-7) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.4 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and medium common steel plate moved up by 0.5 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, week on week.  

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China edged down by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal and anthracite coal declined by 0.4 percent and 0.1 percent respectively, while the price of thermal coal remained stable, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 0.2 percent week on week.
