MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.4 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (May 28-June 3) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.4 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar, hot rolled common steel sheet and welded steel pipe in China respectively increased by 0.6 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.5 percent, week on week. 

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 0.4 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 4.9 percent compared to the previous week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the price of thermal coal moved on a stable trend, while the prices of coking coal and anthracite coal increased by 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent, all week on week.
