China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (July 2-8) the overall average finished steel price in China edged down by 0.1 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of hot-rolled steel sheet, hot rolled steel strip, common medium steel plate and rebar in China respectively decreased by 0.6 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent week on week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal and coking coal both moved up by 0.1 percent, while the price of thermal coal remained stable, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 2.2 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) decreased by 3.2 percent compared to the previous week.
