On May 9, 2020, China’s Ministry of Commerce announced that it will maintain antidumping (AD) duties on imports of certain alloy steel seamless tubes and pipes for high-temperature and high-pressure applications from the United States and the European Union for a five-year period, following an expiry review.

China had introduced the abovementioned duties in May 2014, while the final review investigation was launched in May 2019.

According to the latest announcement, duty rates for US companies including Wyman-Gordon Forgings range between 101 percent and 147.8 percent, while European firms such as Vallourec Deutschland GmbH and Vallourec Tubes France will be subject to duties from 57.9 percent to 60.8 percent.
