MMK ups steel products output in January-April

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works' (MMK) output of steel products increased 8.1 percent year on year to 3.531 million tons in the first four months of 2006. Rolled steel production rose 8.2 percent to 3.602 million tons, crude steel 6.3 percent to 3.887 million tons and pig iron 7 percent to 3.277 million tons during the same period. Exports accounted for 52.7 percent of total sales in January-April of 2006.
