Mitsubishi Nagasaki to provide new machines for Timken

Canton, Ohio-based steelmaker The Timken Company announced Thursday that Japan-based Mitsubishi Nagasaki Machinery Mfg. Co., LTD will supply an automated in-line forge press for Timken's Faircrest steel plant in Canton, Ohio. The machine is expected to be operation in early 2013, and will raise Timken's steel manufacturing capacity at the Canton facility.

Tom Moline, Timken's VP of steel manufacturing said, "The addition of this press will bring greater differentiation and ultimately expand our capacity to supply the highest quality product to our customers." Timken will use the 3,000-ton press to enhance the consistency of properties of its special bar quality steel.
