Mexican ferroalloys and manganese producer Minera Autlan unveiled this week a plan to increase its output.
The company said in a filing at the nation’s stock exchange, BMV, it plans to increase ferroalloys production by 15 percent within the next three years. The company’s ferroalloys installed capacity in 2018 is forecasted to improve 7 percent year-on-year, although the company did not disclose its ferroalloys capacity.
Minera Autlan said it will invest $25 million in 2018 to support the proposed capacity increase. The company also said it will grow its manganese reserves to increase the production of manganese nodules, a unique product it sells.
The investment is aimed at both increasing capacity, planning, extraction and beneficiation of the commodities, the company said.
