Mexico’s industrial output up in September

Mexico’s industrial output in September increased 1.4 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi.

According to Inegi, the nation’s industrial production improved for most industrial sectors; expect the mining segment, which saw a 5.2 percent decline, year-on-year, in output.

All the other segments, including civil construction, manufacturing, and generation, transmission and distribution of electricity experienced growths in output of 3.7, 2.6 and 3.9 percent in September, year-on-year.

Inegi said industrial production in September was stable with a slight increase of 0.4 percent in the month-on-month analysis. Output in manufacturing industry was stable, with a 0.2 percent decline, month-on-month. The civil construction and mining segments saw output increase by 0.5 and 0.2 percent in September, month-on-month.
