Mexico’s ICH posts increased net profit in Q2

Mexican steelmaker Industrias CH (ICH) said net profit in Q2 rose 35 percent, year-on-year, to MXN 927 million ($50 million). EBITDA in Q2 grew 26 percent, year-on-year, to MXN 1.6 billion ($90.1 million).

Net revenues in Q2 went to MXN 10.4 billion ($562.3 million), 28 percent up, year-on-year, while steel sales volumes in Q2 improved 8 percent, year-on-year, to 645,000 mt.

As for the first half of the year (H1), ICH posted a net profit of MXN 1.9 billion ($107.1 million), 38 percent up, year-on-year.
