Mexico-based steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) has announced that it has signed a framework agreement with the Chinese company Xingxing Hanfang Mining Investment Co. Limited regarding supplies of iron ore concentrate.
Under the agreement, AHMSA, through its subsidiary Mineral del Norte S.A. de C.V. (MINOSA), will provide the Chinese company with 10 million mt of iron ore concentrate annually for 20 years.
Xingxing Hanfang Mining Investment is part of China-based Xingxing Cathay International Group which focuses on the energy, steel, mining, automotive, aviation and heavy machinery industries.
