Mexico launches investigation of wire mesh imports from China

The Mexican Ministry of Economy launched an investigation process for alleged unfair trade practices on galvanized steel wire mesh from China.

Through the Official Gazette, the Ministry determined on March 27 that the average price of imports from China were 51 percent less than the price of the local market. "The Ministry determined that there are elements that support preliminarily that during the investigated period, imports of the subject merchandise threat of injury caused to the domestic industry", said the federal agency.

On February 8, DeAcero requested administrative investigation claiming that galvanized wire mesh from China incurred in price discrimination, affecting domestic production.
