Metso’s new office facilities inaugurated in Pennsylvania

Finland-based technology and engineering company Metso Corporation's subsidiary Metso Mining and Construction Technology's new office facilities in York, Pennsylvania, US were inaugurated on May 17 by Metso Corporation president and CEO Jorma Eloranta.
 
A company statement said that the 7,000 m2 of new office space will provide employment opportunities for over 300 people and the value of the investment is approximately €10 million.

"The investment reflects our confidence in favorable longer-term market development globally, and especially in the US mining sector," said Matti Kähkönen, president of Metso Mining and Construction Technology.

Metso has altogether approximately 2,800 employees in the US. In 2009, the company's net sales from the USA amounted to €566 million, representing 11 percent of total net sales.
