Metso Outotec to supply two iron ore pelletizing plants to China

Finland-based global engineering and technology company Metso Outotec Corporation has announced that it will supply two compact-sized iron ore pelletizing plants to China-based Chengde Zhaofeng Iron and Steel Group, Co. Ltd. The value of the order for the plants is €33 million.

The plants each have an annual capacity of 2.6 million mt.

Pellet production at the Zhaofeng plant is estimated to start around the third quarter of 2024.

According to its statement, this is Metso’s sixth pelletizing plant order in China since 2020.
