Metinvest to invest $4 billion in development

The Ukrainian group Metinvest Holding has announced plans to invest about $4 billion in production development at its plants over the next five years.

The investments will be directed toward the modernization of the company's production capacities and also the technical upgrading of the company's mills.

Metinvest will finance its investment using both its own capital and through loans from world financial institutions. Indeed, the company has already been able to secure $1.5 billion worth of credit from ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and ING.
