Metinvest receives international recognition for health and safety measures

Ukraine's largest vertically-integrated mining and steel group Metinvest has become the first company in Ukraine and the only company in eastern Europe to have its efforts in the field of occupational safety improvement highly commended by the World Steel Association (worldsteel).

Accordingly, Metinvest has received one of four awards for Best Occupational Safety Improvement. Implementation of occupational safety improvement measures have resulted in a 19 percent reduction in lost-time injuries at the steelmaking facilities of Metinvest.
