Ukrainian mining and steel producing group Metinvest has stated that its retail sales network in the Russian Federation Metinvest Eurasia has opened a sales office and metal service center in Nizhny Novgorod with the aim of expanding its distribution network in the Volga River basin.
This project is expected to optimize logistics and improve service rendered to Metinvest Eurasia's customers in the Nizhny Novgorod, Kostroma, Kirov regions and in the autonomous republics of Mariy-El and Chuvashia.
The metal base in Nizhny Novgorod will maintain 4,000-5,000 mt of goods inventory, including generic and low-alloyed heavy plate, shipbuilding plate, cold rolled and galvanized products, beam, angle, channel, bent profile, rebar, wire rod and other products from Metinvest's iron and steel production facilities, including Azovstal, Ilyich Iron and Steel Works, Yenakiievo Iron and Steel Works and Zaporizhstal.
