Metinvest earns nearly $45 million of profit in 2016 from new products

Ukrainian mining and steel producing group Metinvest has announced that in 2016 it received nearly $45 million of additional profit from the sale of new steel products developed during the 2010-16 period. 

In 2016, the company produced 49 new types of steel products and the main consumers were the construction, machinery and pipe sectors. During the 2010-16 period, the company introduced 169 new steel products to the market. 

Metinvest stated that in the current year it will continue to expand the range of its products for the construction and mechanical engineering sectors. In the current year, the company plans to produce about 30 new products including hot rolled and cold rolled products, galvanized coils, plate and bars, to be delivered to the domestic market, Europe and the United States.
