Mr. Zouheir Tawill of Metalrom, one of the major exporters of ferrous scrap from Romania, has said that scrap supply from Romania would not be competitive in the external market due to the high cost of domestic scrap collection.

Discussing the recent developments in the market with SteelOrbis, Mr. Tawill added that he did not envisage the possibility of Romanian origin scrap being shipped to Turkish mills at below $315/mt CFR Turkish port taking into consideration the current cost levels. "
