Metalloinvest proceeds with Mikhailovsky GOK modernization

Russia-based leading global iron ore and hot briquetted iron (HBI) producer Metalloinvest has announced that it is proceeding with the modernization of its subsidiary Mikhailovsky GOK.

Within the scope of the modernization project, Metalloinvest has started replacing the magnetic separators at the Mikhailovsky GOK beneficiation plant with modern ones. This will enable the company to increase the supply of iron ore concentrate by 10,200 mt per year. The new equipment is domestically produced and used for beneficiation by wet magnetic separation, SteelOrbis has learned.
