Merger between Mechel and Kuzbass completed

Mechel Holding is established as the merger between Russian steel mill
Mechel and coal company Yuzhny Kuzbass is completed.
Mechel, producing steel and
alloys, have been carrying on discussions with Kuzbass for this merger.
The newly established Steel Group
Mechel Holding has become the first Russian company combining coal and steel
production activities.
