Meishan Steel commissions sintering machine No. 5

Shanghai-based Chinese steelmaker Meishan Iron and Steel Co. (Meishan Steel), a subsidiary of Chinese steel giant Baosteel Group, has commissioned its sintering machine No. 5, according to China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), whose subsidiary Zhongye Changtian International Engineering Co. was responsible for the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) work on the project.
 
Construction work on the sintering machine project started on August 20, 2010. The 450 cubic meter sintering machine will be able to produce 4.63 million mt of sintered ore each year.
